The HPV vaccine was tested on adolescent girls in India (and some argue is still being informally tested on them, as questions of current consent arise). Responding to a question about deaths and serious side effects among these youth, a Merck head of medical research says, "There's a background noise of deaths, a background noise of side effects, especially in this age group."
