Coal Ash for Cash?

After a coal ash spill in east Tennessee last year, the mess left behind will be packed and shipped to Perry County, Alabama, a "high-poverty, mostly Black community," that will be "absorbing the waste in exchange for a significant financial reward...So Perry County is now wading into this caustic admixture of environmental and political toxins, in hopes that the payout for accepting the waste will outweigh the risks."
