It is often claimed that genetically engineered crops are the only way to feed a growing world population. "Worrying about starving future generations won't feed them," claims Monsanto. "Food biotechnology will. Yet close analysis suggests that there are at least 10 good reasons why the widespread adoption of genetic engineering in agriculture will lead to MORE hungry people--not fewer.
